BQuip: Resources for Coffee Hackers
In 2018 a mechanical engineer from South Africa wished he had the equipment to experiment with coffee.
He soon realised that he needed:
a small coffee roaster;
a good coffee grinder.
These are the basic equipment needed to explore coffee as a hobby.
Imports into African countries are prohibitively expensive. The African currencies are weak and logistics tend to become an expensive and frustrating nightmare.
The obvious answer was to design and build his own equipment. Being an open-source advocate, he soon realised that there are millions of people around the world with the same needs.
This website is dedicated to helping at least a million people in every country of the world to build their own coffee grinders, home roasters and lever espresso machines.
On this website, you will find instructions, discussions, tips, directions and Designs for DIY Coffee Equipment.
This is a resource site for Coffee Hackers (enthusiasts that like to tinker with stuff.)
